We facilitate, teach, and provide opportunities for individuals to gain knowledge and practical skills for transforming their communities through sustainable community development practices. Only through a Biblical Worldview can a community truly be transformed. We provide this education through the structure of Youth With a Mission’s School of Sustainable Development, which gives students a set a part time to learn with the Lord His vision for their individual ministry. The SSD equips each student with the tools to share the Gospel message in a holistic approach that provides for an individual’s practical needs to be met, which often opens the door for ministering to emotional and spiritual needs. Each student is responsible for contributing to the costs of living and necessary supplies for the time they are with us. In return, they receive one on one and group discipleship in Biblical Truth and the skills to effectively reach and disciple the people whom the Lord sends them.
When students are unable to meet their financial goals, we assist in networking and fundraising with them. We teach appropriate methods for communicating and building their ministry, while working with God in faith for their needs. This can be through teaching entrepreneur skills of a “business in missions”, or connecting them with supporters.
We also promote member care through one on one relationships, that usually involves coffee (or tea) and “how are you really doing” conversations. We provide debriefing for individuals and groups who are transitioning between cultures and give formal and informal tools to be effective kingdom workers on and off the field.
In John 21:15-17, Jesus has a conversation with Peter, asking him three times “do you love me?”. Which Peter answers “yes” each time. Jesus then replies with 3 commands of “Feed my lambs”, “Tend my sheep”, and “Feed my sheep.” Over the past 8 years, the Lord has been revealing these same commands to my personal ministry and teaching me what each one looks like. Each one shapes the aspects and foundation of this ministry in building up the Kingdom of God.

This is defined as the children of God (both young & old) to have the opportunity to have access to food & education.
In practice, providing immediate food needs, teaching how to grow and make food, and how to teach others to do the same.
It is also through providing the opportunity for basic education and continuing education, through financial and/or resource assistance.
As a shepherd tends to their flock, so is the command to give care to the body of Christ.
More clearly defined, provide Member Care to individuals through hearing them, seeing them, and walking with them through life’s ups and downs. This can be to meet physical needs, emotional need, and spiritual needs.

To disciple others in the truth and teachings of Jesus; mentoring, guiding, and teaching practical ways to implement the Word of God in personal daily life, how to create a resting place for the presence of the Lord, and how to serve others through individual and spiritual gifts and talents.
