I started my missions journey in 2016 when I joined a missions trip with my church to Costa Rica. During this trip the Lord convicted my heart for caring for His people in developing nations. In 2017, I left my nursing career and family in Texas to explore in faith the calling into full time missions. I attended my first school with Youth With a Mission in Costa Rica, the School of Sustainable Development, which included a 12 week outreach to Malawi and Zambia Africa. The next 2 years I went on other short term mission trips with different organizations to various places, including the Navajo Reservation in Arizona, Costa Rica, Honduras, Guatemala, and Kenya. In 2019, I returned to YWAM in Costa Rica for a Discipleship Training School and joined full-time staff in 2020.
Catching the vision to expand the School of Sustainable Development from Costa Rica to Malawi, Africa, a small team of colleagues and I hosted the first school there in 2021. We have continued to host SSD schools in Costa Rica and Malawi through 2024.
Our continuing vision is to multiply the SSD globally and see the trainings and teachings become available to those who desire to see their personal lives and communities transformed. For this, we saw the need to have a centralized global location as a covering and training location to send out pioneer teams. Together with a team of YWAM family members, we are working to pioneer a YWAM campus in Northwestern Italy, called YWAM Homestead.
Other trainings I have attended in YWAM: Rescue Net (disaster response training), NIKO, Member Care Foundations Course, a Leadership Training School, and UniQuip.
My mission passions target basic medical care, sustainable agriculture, community development, women’s ministry, leadership development, and member care.
I have a love for culture, music, Biblical truth, agriculture, sports, outdoors, photography, and seeing others set free by the Love of Jesus. (and slightly obsessed with wiener dogs!)
Our Team is funded through donor support and entrepreneur endeavors through “business in missions.” It is my heart to connect you with the full time missionaries on the ground who need your help through prayer and finances. If you feel led to adopt one of our team members with monthly support or one time gifts, fill out a contact form here and let us know how the Lord is leading.
